The only difference is their origin—one was formed in the earth over millions of years, the other was created in a laboratory over weeks.

Not without specialized equipment. Lab grown and mined diamonds are optically identical—even trained gemologists cannot distinguish them with the naked eye or standard jeweler's tools. Specialized spectroscopic equipment is needed to detect the subtle growth patterns that indicate laboratory origin. All our diamonds are laser-inscribed on the girdle with their certificate number for identification.

Lab grown diamonds are created using two main methods:

HPHT (High-Pressure High-Temperature): Mimics natural diamond formation by exposing carbon to extreme heat (~1,500°C) and pressure (1.5 million PSI).

CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition): Builds diamonds layer-by-layer by introducing carbon-rich gas into a chamber with a diamond seed.

Both methods produce genuine diamonds with identical properties to mined stones.

Yes, 100%. Lab grown diamonds have no connection to mining operations and therefore no risk of conflict sourcing. While the Kimberley Process addresses blood diamonds, lab grown diamonds bypass the entire issue by being created in controlled laboratory environments with transparent supply chains.

Significantly more so than mined diamonds. Diamond mining requires moving massive amounts of earth, uses extensive water and energy, and can cause habitat destruction. Lab creation uses considerably less resources with no earth displacement. Many labs (including our partners) are transitioning to renewable energy sources. While not zero-impact, the environmental footprint is substantially smaller.
